SQL Server/.Net Developer

Salary Range: 26k-28k (plus bonus)
Wilmslow, Cheshire


A Software Developer with experience developing solutions in SQL Server and C# .net is required to join an award winning Legal Services Software Development Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled developer to work in a fast paced, dynamic Law Firm which is leading the way in new and exciting areas of Law.

The main responsibilities of the Software Developer will be to:-

Work as part of the award winning Development Team reporting to the Development Manager
Support the companies core Case Management and Database systems
Develop innovative solutions that add real business benefits, with a focus on SQL Server/.Net related solutions
Support and enhance the company’s web services and integrations with third parties
Work with end-users to establish business requirements
Provide scalable solutions that support a high level of automation
Work individually and part of a team of 5 developers on a variety of development related projects
Provide third line support where required via the Development Teams ticketing system
Skills:-

Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code using MS SQL Server (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes)
Clear structured approach to designing databases in SQL Server
Experience handling large data load tasks, with an appreciation of SSIS and associated techniques
Ability to write and design reports using SSRS
C# development skills, with a proven ability to write and consume web services (WCF, REST)
Ability to define and implement source control standards (SVN)
Understanding of IIS and hosting web services
Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise accordingly and deliver on time
High attention to detail with a natural inclination to health check
Appreciation of the Agile Development Methodology and key principles
Desirable (not essential):-

Knowledge of Visualfiles case management system
