Deputy Manager - Norton Hammer, Sheffield
£16.00 per hour - £36,608 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Contracted hours: 44 hours - days only

Time Recruitment are exclusively representing a national care home provider with and outstanding reputation. We are leading their search for a Deputy Manager in the Norton Hammer area of Sheffield near Chancet Wood, the home specialises in the provision of residential, general nursing and dementia care.

The facility is reasonable sized and caters to 41 residents in total which is predominantly made up of residential service users, the general and dementia nursing floor is mixed but the site caters to Alzheimers and early onset dementia.

The home is award winning with accreditations from care home uk and is a national top 20 care provider, the site is currently full to capacity for staff nurses but requires an excellent clinical leader to oversee the staff nurse and care team below is an overview of the role:

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will have direct responsibility for the performance of staff nurses and care staff within the home ensuring all training and up skilling is completed, staff rotas and off duty rotas are complete, all auditing, safeguarding and DOLS are up to standard and checking any clinical work completed to a high standard. You will liaise with only the best multi-disciplinary team including CQC and generally assist the home manager in day to day duties whilst maintaining family liaison duties also.

Your own development is integral to this role, as the stronger the deputy manager and leadership overall in this home, the site focuses largely on excellence in clinical care standards are so as a clinical leader you will be developed and placed on a management succession programme if required; any training needs you feel you would benefit from you will receive to aid you in doing your role.

Firstly and foremost you must be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin. You will come from a care home background with experience of working with elderly patients with a minimum of a years' experience in a senior/clinical leadership role. You will have experience of managing staffing levels and overseeing nurses and be able to demonstrate this.

This company is a NMC accredited care provider and are recognised as the only care group with this stamp of approval for the delivery of its training. A two week lengthy induction period is on offer with a mixture of classroom and supervision based initial training, you will be assigned a mentor throughout your first year with the group who will help you in the development of your professional portfolio.

You will have regular access to online modules, you will then be supervised in the delivery of care in that area then be signed off by an assessor, you can also gain university tuition and funding and management qualifications also. Nurses, carers and managers all receive the same standards of training ensuring your team is trained to a high standard.
