Deputy Manager - Llansamlet, Swansea
£16.00 - £16.50 per hour (£36,608 per annum)
Contracted hours: 44 hours - days only

Time Recruitment are exclusively representing a national care home provider with and outstanding reputation. We are leading their search for a Deputy Manager in the Llansamlet area of Swansea, the home specialises in the provision of residential, general nursing and dementia nursing care and is highly accredited in the area.

The facility is reasonable sized and caters to 34 residents in total which is predominantly made up of residential service users, the general nursing floor and dementia nursing floor is small yet manageable.

The home is currently full to capacity for staff nurses but requires an excellent clinical leader to oversee the staff nurse and care team in the delivery of clinical excellence.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will have direct responsibility for the performance of staff nurses and care staff within the home ensuring all training and up skilling is completed, staff rotas and off duty rotas are complete, all auditing, safeguarding and DOLS are up to standard and checking any clinical work is completed to a high standard. You will liaise with only the best multi-disciplinary team including CQC and generally assist the home manager in day to day duties whilst maintaining family liaison duties also.

Your own development is integral to this role, as the stronger the deputy manager and leadership overall in this home, the focus on patient centered care and the higher the clinical care standards are so as a clinical leader you will be developed and placed on a management succession programme if required; any training needs you feel you would benefit from you will receive to aid you in doing your role.

Training and development is offered at all times, with a lengthy induction programme in which you will receive your own mentor during this period; online training is regularly available enabling you to develop your portfolio; alongside this any clinical training will be paid for and you will receive supervisions and sign off.

Firstly and foremost you must be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin. You will come from a care home background with experience of working with elderly patients with a minimum of a years' experience in a senior/clinical leadership role. You will have experience of managing staffing levels and overseeing nurses and be able to demonstrate this.
