Deputy Home Manager
Port Talbot, Swansea
£16.00 - £17.00 per hour (£33,280 per annum +)
Days - 40 hours available - largely supernumerary

One of the industry's largest healthcare groups is looking for a Clinical Deputy Home Manager to join their site in Port Talbot, Swansea this is a high specification care centre developed specifically to provide nursing care for the elderly, those requiring dementia care and the physically disabled alongside offering interim care also.

The facility takes pride in quality, has a good CQC report and can cater to a variety of nurses due to the varied nature of the units; with 67 beds in total split between 3 units in total you can be guaranteed support off other clinical managers within the service and a long standing home manager.

Your role will be largely supernumerary and you will be the point of contact for your staff and residents alike and guaranteed autonomy in your role as Deputy Home Manager; as an integral part of the management team you will receive regular one to one time with the home manager to aid you in the support of your home

Your role as Deputy Home Manager will be to oversee and support the nursing and care staff in all regulatory standards set out by CSSIW alongside key duties such as:

- Evaluating and development of patient programmes and care
- Managing care assessment process
- Quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Nursing team management
- Ensuring all mandatory training and inductions are complete
- Completing staff supervisions
- Family Services
- Provide safe processes for the ordering, administration and disposal of drugs
- Report all compliments, comments and complaints
- Recruitment and retention

This is a multi-versatile role ideal for a senior nurse - RGN, RMN or RNLD wanting to advance into management and gain their NVQ level 4 and 5 awards in management, the company offer a stringent RCN accredited training programme and realistic career progression path into senior management alongside this you will receive the benefits listed below:

You will also be supported by a clinical manager, a home manager, an array of staff nurses, a regional and area manager, a clinical auditor and clinical trainers. Your role will be largely supernumerary with a mix of clinical work only when required; to enable you to be hands on and understand your patient's ongoing clinical needs.

You will receive a two week induction period both classroom based and supervisory based; ongoing training and development is particularly important to this provider, so access to ongoing management training and NVQ support is on offer alongside regular online mandatory training sessions ensuring you develop your portfolio; alongside the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and be assisted with revalidation.
